Hey Russell,

Just checking in – hope you had a great day
I just had to send a message to tell you this…

I was thinking about what this holiday means, and I have to say I thought of you – another year has gone by, and you are, by far, of all the people I know, you are the one who shows/gives the most love to everyone. You are always SO positive. It is truly inspiring. You always take the high road. You always communicate with class and grace. Even if others may get you down, you turn it around and inspire. You have a gift, you really do. Your photography (of course), but it goes beyond that.

I have a husband, children…so I’m not the one that is at all the parties, but I read, listen, and pay attention. I’ve been lucky to get the acting roles, and I’ve been lucky in business. But you are so often evocative, challenging, inspirational, uplifting, motivating in your posts. I really hope you have been appreciated today. If not, know that there are people out there that you’ve inspired years ago (after I lost my daughter) who have moved on with life but are still grateful for the wonderful person that you are!

Russell Tanoue began creating and producing event concepts and hosting them since 1998 throwing lavish annual birthday celebrations for a cause. In 2000, he took his annual birthday bash to Ocean Club at Restaurant Row, Honolulu. The owners fell in love with his event and guests and asked if a monthly event would be of any interest to Tanoue. In 2001, the Piranha Room was born. A once month club event with lines of party goers snakes around the block — people are willing to wait hours in line to get into this event, which has a special line for VIPS, complete with red carpet treatment. After 7 successful years making news locally and internationally- Tanoue created a new event…BEAUTIFUL.

BEAUTIFUL, currently a once a month event on the last Saturday of every month at the beautiful Pearl Nightclub and Lounge located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center- Ho’okipa Terrace.
It features various DJ’s sometimes out of town such as Las Vegas legend DJ R.O.B., DJ Trinidad to name a few. It’s focus of this event is to create a beautiful experience for guest with special features from fashion shows, recording artist, beauty giveaway’s and more!

Russell Tanoue’s events has host special celebrity guests from NBA Star Reggie Miller, Actor Johnny Depp, Actor Daniel Dae Kim, Actress Kelly Hu, Bruno Mars, Actress Tia Carrera, Actor Jon Lovitts, Playboy Playmates, Comedian Wayne Brady to name a few.

BEAUTIFUL is also known for it’s fashion, entertainment gurus, models, actors, recording artist and business and entrepreneurs guests.

Why is it called BEAUTIFUL?  Because it’s in all of us.  And on this particular night, we celebrate your true beauty inside out.   BEAUTIFUL…because you are!
