For those students who cannot easily visit the clinic in person, or for those that would prefer it, has provided a video visit option.

The video visits cover a wide range of patient needs – from acute care to the management of chronic conditions to follow-up appointments.

Following the visit, providers can send a prescription directly to a patient’s preferred pharmacy, if necessary. These visits are covered by most insurance carriers, and some carriers have chosen to waive cost-sharing at this time. Self-pay is also an option for this service.

To schedule a video visit or manage your health needs online, create a MyChart account. It's free to sign up.

Once you sign up, follow the steps below.

1. Download the MyChart app on your mobile device; the app is required for both phones and tablets and is available through the App Store and Google Play.
2. Call your Mercy or MercyCare clinic to see if a video visit is appropriate. A Patient Service Coordinator will assist in scheduling your video visit.
3. Once your video visit has been scheduled, log into your MyChart app and your video visit will appear under "Appointments."
4. Review the MyChart video visit instructions prior to your appointment. If you need care sooner, Urgent Care video visits are also available. 
5. Choose your appointment online and sign up at to see a MercyCare Urgent Care provider from your mobile device.
